Signs

In ancient times, of age - old centuries,
superior technology, by far surpassing ours,
it was a time of vast achievement,
that still defeats comprehension
even in this day and age
There are signs of this obscure dimension,
they are portals to the other side
there are so many undeciphered scriptures,
we are not yet able to read
Is it ignorance, that clouds our perception,
or are we afraid, that we might see
They walked as rulers of the universe,
falling to see, so many other things
halted progress, stagnated thinking
is why these cultures had to die
Surounded by our advanced technology,
yet we still don't open (up) our minds
to heed the omnious portents around us,
the legacy of extinct beings,
a doorway to the other side
There are signs of this obscure dimension,
there are so many undeciphered scriptures,
we are not yet able to read,
and probably wouldn't comprehend,
even if we could
Is it ignorance, that clouds our perception,
or are we afraid, that we might see
Are we the epitome of creation
walking as rulers of the universe
So many portents, so many warnings,
but we cannot perceive the obvious signs
Never saw...Never saw...Never saw... their eyes
Never heeded their signs...
You don't either...
